The Elephant In The Room
Why You Feel Dead Inside
The Death No One Talks about(But Everyone Experiences)
I haven’t sent a newsletter in over 2 weeks, so i apologize for the inconvenience. Work and personal life have been neck and neck for a little bit. I am hoping to get back on track with these because I do enjoy making them. I have more on the way.
Let’s get right into why I titled this “The Elephant In the Room.”
Do you see the state of the world now, or even think of it? From experience in the real world, I’ve noticed that most people are walking around like emotionally constipated zombies. Why is that?
To me, they’ve experienced the slow, agonizing death of someone they used to love.
Their inner child. The little boy or girl within. Wait a minute, wtf are you talking about Sheldon?
That curious, joyful, wild, zero fucks given little maniac who used to dream big and build pillow forts for fun.
Done for. Gone.
Did the world force them to do this? Yes and No. Yes because Society always tells you to grow up and be an adult. No because many people end up killing that part of themselves willingly.
They suited up, got serious, “matured,” and smothered their joy in the name of being “realistic.” Give me a break.
They call this “being an adult.”
What do I call it? Boring. Predictable. Soulless. Overcooked steak.
(If this hurts a little… That’s a good thing. It means the kid in you is still in there, kicking the door, screaming to get the fuck out).
The Freedom Nobody Talks About
Want to know something the new age “successful” adults refuse to tell you?
I’m referring to the ones who are really winning in life. The ones who are joyful, make stupid amounts of money, and do the work that fires them up?
They never stopped being that kid. Regardless of what society told them to do.
They built a life where the inner child could thrive, instead of being left to die on the side of the road.
They leveled up and brought their childhood spirit with them. They make money, damn good money, doing things that feel more like play than work.
They wear hoodies instead of suits. They build newsletters, brands, and weird little empires from laptops and Airbnbs.
They wake up when they want, take mid-day walks, and drink overpriced drinks because, well….why the fuck not?
(Stop selling the dream Sheldon)
No, I won’t. It’s possible, we’ll get into that later.
They give zero fucks about what anyone else thinks. Because when you’ve tapped into your real self. The playful, creative, unfiltered self. You then start to create value the world actually wants.
It’s magnetic. It’s authentic. It is absolute blast. Yes we may have to deal with “shit happens” every once in a while. But hey, again, zero fucks given. You’ve always wanted to live this way. Don’t lie.
Your Real Problem Isn’t Laziness…It’s Belief
Look, I don’t give a shit what anyone says. You’re not “lazy.” You’re not “Undisciplined.” You don’t “Lack the time.”
You just don’t believe in yourself. You don’t believe this is possible for you.
That’s literally it.
That’s the Elephant in the room.
You’ve been beat over the head with the same soul-sucking script since you were in grade school:
“Be realistic.”
“Work hard. Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“Play it safe.”
“Don’t chase your dreams. Get a job loser.”
“You need to look professional and presentable.”
So you stopped dreaming. Stopped playing. Stopped taking risks. Stopped caring about the little kid in you. And then what happens?
Life gets….well…..meek and gray.
Just following a string until life support.
Or in the case of Sisyphus, who was condemned to a life of pushing a boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down every time he reached the top.
Fuck that. It’s not worth doing that to yourself.
Remember this quote from Einstein?
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
I get it. I wouldn’t want that either. Here’s the good news though. Really good news.
See, the part of you that’s creative, joyful, alive version; it’s not dead persay.
It’s just buried underneath all of Societies bullshit they shoveled onto you. You can dig out of that right now. How?
Build a newsletter about what you love
Write every day like your life depends on it
Help others. Solve problems. Be useful.
Monetize that value
Turn that into income
Stack the income
Replace the job when it’s time
Then you can travel, play, and live on repeat.
That’s the blueprint in a nutshell.
But it all starts with permission.
Permission to believe you’re worthy of more. Permission to be weird. Permission to enjoy life. Permission to say, “I don’t give a flying fuck what anyone thinks.”
Because success without joy is just another prison.
And let’s be real with each other. What’s the point of making money if you’re still miserable?
Be A Kid Again(But With A Paycheck)
Here’s what i want you to do:
If you’ve been feeling stuck, uninspired, or like you’re sleepwalking through life…..This is a wakeup call for you.
If you feel like you were meant for more than traffic, managers, and two weeks of paid vacation, you’re right.
If you feel like you are not meant for any of that, you are also right.
But if you’re sick of watching other people win while you play it safe, just know this:
They’re not smarter. They’re not better.
They just believed it was possible and started.
That’s exactly what I want for you.
So do this:
Start your newsletter.
Doesn’t matter if it’s messy. Start it anyways. Beehiiv is perfect. You’ve got everything you need right here.
Write like your inner child is watching.
Have fun with it. Be honest. Be bold. Say what everyone else is afraid to.
Build the income. Play like a child.
This is your bridge to a free life. One that feels like you.
Because when you finally start living on your own terms, Life gets fun again. Once you combine play with purpose, game over. That’s where real wealth lives.
I’ll leave you with this:
Make money. Be a kid again. And for once in your life….start doing what the hell you want.

Til next time,
Sheldon
